President's Letter

Dr. MunroeDear Student,

Welcome to Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) of The City University of New York (CUNY). In this academic year marked by a world-wide pandemic, while we tackle systemic racism in this country and face these harsh realities on a daily basis, I am impressed with the resolve and sense of purpose of our students.

I want to first assure you that even through distance learning, at BMCC there is a deep connection between our students, faculty and staff. In addition to providing an outstanding classroom experience, we offer free online tutoring and academic coaches to help you reach your potential. Other resources are found on our Resilience, Health and Wellness website. Our Advocacy and Resource Center and Panther Pantry are ready to help, if you are experiencing food insecurity, and our dedicated staff can provide housing assistance. If you just need to talk to someone about the challenges you’re facing, our Counseling Center is there for you.

You are not alone at BMCC. You can count on us to help propel you in your goals. You are the future, the bright light and talent of a better tomorrow. Be well and safe as you forge ahead in this journey.

Sincerely,
Dr. Munroe's SignatureAnthony E. Munroe, President
