Introduction to Early Childhood Education

This is an introductory course for students planning to work with children ages birth through eight years old. The following Early Childhood Education topics are explored in depth: philosophies, theories, history, program models, practices and resources, and emerging issues in the field. Students visit early childhood education settings for first-hand observation of young children.
